Best Summer Ever

I can't believe that summer has ended. It was really weird for me because I can tell when summer has ended when I go back to school but I didn't go back to school since I am done so that was a weird feeling. I miss all my school friends, professors, and counselors so much! I can't wait for Graduate School.

I am still dating Jason Kocherhans who is such an amazing man! I can't really tell enough people how great he is. I just have to take him with me everywhere so people can meet him! :) It has been such a busy summer. We both work and Jason just finished a crazy work schedule in July. I am still working at Nutraceutical and am learning a lot. I love getting paid. :) Last week we took my nephew to see Despicable Me 2. It was so much fun and he loved it! We have also this summer done everything together. We haven't missed a day of seeing each other since we started dating in March. I can't believe we have been dating for 6 months! It is insane! But we are having so much fun! I am taking a Prep course for the GRE starting September 14 and then it goes every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 pm- 9 pm for six weeks and then I take the DREADED GRE. I am applying to the Utah State University Master's program. So next fall hopefully I will be up at Utah State doing a Master's program up there.

My singles ward is so awesome! I just got released as the Co-Chair of Activities and called as the Relief Society Secretary. The Lord is for sure stretching me which is awesome. Jason got  released as Sunday School Teacher and called as (get this) Activities Co-Chair. :) Everyone makes fun of us. I am so excited for the Labor Day break! I also am excited for this weekend. Time really has flown by. I am really enjoying life and what the Lord has blessed me with. I don't deserve a lot of the blessings but am so grateful for them. Life couldn't be any better! I also can't wait to see my dad! He has been in India for 2 weeks and is finally getting home tonight.

Birthday Extravaganza

That last post was from awhile ago and I didn't know how to finish it so I just posted it. I had the most amazing birthday of my life. It was the best of all my 21 years. It is crazy to think I am 21 years old now. I also can't believe that I am where I am today. I never imagined I would be dating such an amazing man or at the point I am today. I seriously am so blessed for such an amazing family who has always stuck by my side. So for my fantastic birthday Jason had the 21st all to himself. That was our day to celebrate before friends and family celebrations started happening. He told me pretty much a week before he had a plan for my birthday but wouldn't tell me what it was. It drove me crazy! Then the day of my birthday I met him up at his house and we exercised. After we exercised he took me out to dinner at a place we found at the Lehi Outlet Malls that is like a 60's Hamburger Joint. It was really amazing food because of the Oreo Shake of course. :) Then he surprised me and took me to the lifts at Sundance for the Super Moon lift ride! Where he brought a jacket of his specifically for me! :) It was so fun and a great time for us to be together. For my birthday he bought me so lip balm that I have wanted for months! It is the EOS brand! AMAZING! After we went back to his house and I drove home. Then on Saturday I went to his house for a Baby Shower that the girls in his family threw for his sister-n-law. After that we went back to Orem to babysit for Rachel and Jordan. We then met up with friends and Jason's and my new favorite restaurant called Guru's in Provo (thanks to Abby). We then made cookies for the 4th Sunday Feast that my ward has every 4th Sunday. We also hung out with our friends Ammon and Jess for a little double date which they helped us make the cookies as well.

Then Sunday June 23rd happened! That is my actual birthday so I had 2 days of celebration BEFORE the real one! After a long day at church and a lot of happy birthdays I got to come home and put on my sweats! Every time I would relax the door would knock with friends wishing me a happy birthday! They are all amazing people! Love my friends! Then finally Jason and I put on Anne of Green Gables and just chilled. My mom then ordered the day before Empanadas and made black beans! It was such a yummy meal! Steven then made my dessert of Oreo Ice Cream which was amazingly delicious! All the sugar from this weekend made me so sick though! But it was yummy! :) Jason had told me earlier that he didn't buy me anything else which was a relief because I don't really like money spent on me. After my house we went up to his where he gave me another EOS lip balm! Ya he totally lied to me (surprised me). :) Then we went out on his tramp and watched the SUPER MOON!!! It was big! Then he took me home.

I just wanted to thank all my family and friends for such an incredible birthday! It was the Best Birthday of my life! I have never felt so loved or spoiled in my life. :) I am so grateful for everyone in my life! I am sorry I haven't written in awhile but I will try to keep it more up to date. :)

Lucky Girl

I haven't written in awhile but am feeling so lucky and blessed. I am working now! I got a job at a company called Nutraceutical. I answer calls on questions people have about certain health products. It has been such a learning experience since I haven't had a job ever before. All I have known my whole life is school. So its been a way awesome learning experience and I get money which is a plus!
I feel so lucky and blessed also because I am dating seriously the most wonderful man....Jason Kocherhans. I met him at a group game night that some mutual friends of ours were at. We had been in the same ward but for some reason never noticed him and he never noticed me. We would be at the same activities but for some reason or another kept missing each other. I have a feeling it's because I wasn't ready for all his awesomeness. We have been dating since he says March and I say April. :) We seriously are by each others side a lot of the time. Either I go to his house in Highland after work or he is in Orem after I get off since I get off later than he does. It's surprisingly how well we fit together. He doesn't care if I sing in public (which most of you know is important). His sisters are very similar in that way so I realized that is why he doesn't get bothered by it and most importantly he lets me be myself.

Almost There and Life

I thought I would do a quick update since I haven't for awhile. I am preparing to graduate on April 26, 2013! I am so excited! It is a few weeks away. It is unbelievable that I made it this far. I can't believe I am getting my Bachelors at 20 years old. It has been a long and wild ride. A lot of people ask me if I am glad to be graduating and to be honest it is a bittersweet experience. I am glad to be done but yet I am going to miss my professors, the mentoring program, and my internship. I almost cried when I got my tassle thinking about everyone I will miss and just the fact of that my whole life has been getting my education and now that I am almost done it is scary to face the unknown. I have applied for two jobs. I applied to be an EFY counselor but wasn't offered that position. I then applied to work at the Huntsman Center and my application is still being processed. Jason K is fairly confident that I will get an interview for that position.
Yes I have been dating. I have been dating Jason K for about a month now and we have been having so much fun. We started out as best friends and then progressed into dating. We still hang out with the frequent fliers a lot but have been doing a lot on our own. I just went to his house for Easter on Saturday and Sunday. His family is amazing. They all are so awesome and it has been so much fun playing games with them, going out to lunch, seeing plays, and dying easter eggs. This week we plan on spending Easter with my family since his celebrated it early because of his sister expecting a baby. I have been so happy lately and feel so blessed for amazing friends and family.
I want to just thank my family for always being there for me. You guys have supported me through everything i have done. I am so excited to celebrate my graduation with them. Especially my parents. They have loved me through good and hard times. They have helped me out of tough situations and have been my rocks. I love them so much. I am grateful that they are there to talk too. I love my friends who are all so supportive of me. Who some are even trying to get out of work to be there at my graduation. They are seriously the best friends that I have ever had.
I will keep ya'll posted on the job and dating and life. Thanks for all the support and love. :)

The Story of The Frequent Flyers

Alright so here we go. I have lately been hanging out with some friends. One of them wanted me to post about them but specifically instead of just saying friends. We are pretty much an awesome group. We do things every weekend and usually have people come in and out. Sometimes they hang with us and other times they don't. We evolve so I am only going to mention the frequent fliers if you will:
Jason Hall: Jason Hall pretty much loves sports. He also makes really good treats and always wants to go out of Utah County or go out somewhere so we can meet people. So now we tend to try to go an adventure.
Jason K.: This Jason loves the games. If you mention that at the party "Bang" will be there, he comes. He pretty much keeps us all sane. He was the one I mentioned that came to all the Superbowl parties with me and also makes some pretty epic suggestions for going out to eat every weekend.
Megan Brooks: Megan is pretty much one of the coolest girls I have ever met. She is way down to Earth and has an amazing laugh. She makes delicious cookies (if I do say so myself) and never forgets you. She loves doing service for others whether that is throwing a surprise party or just doing something nice in general. She is there for you. She is also very good at match making. At least we all think so.
Heather Stembridge: I consider Heather a frequent flyer even though she comes off and on. She loves doing a whole plethura of stuff with us and is the one who goes about anywhere with you. She never complains and is someone who anyone can trust. She is also very good at supplying us with good conversation.
Jacob Bradshaw: He is the quiet but fun one. Jacob will sing Disney with me and pretty much just supply our group with some comedy relief. He is very good at coming when asked and is very good at disappearing at times when only one person knows where he is which is Jordin (his girlfriend).
Jordin Christensen: Jordin is pretty much one where you don't know what she is going to come up with next. She is really energetic and full of life. She supplies us with new games every now and again and will also bring anything to a party. She is dating Jacob and the whole group loves it so at times she isn't present because she is with Jacob.
Matt B.: Matt is one where you don't know if he will be in or out. He also might join up with you later. You never know with this guy but if he is there he is there. Matt doesn't mess around. Matt also enjoys "Bang". This is the frequent flyers. We have a lot of people who join us every now and again and we love when they do. It is a fun group and the coolest part is we all come from different backgrounds so each of us bring a lot to the table. I hope I did them all justice. If I didn't I am sure I will hear about it soon. :)

Superbowl and Mom Missing!

My dad had his Superbowl party again this year. He planned for weeks and invited about 15 people. Then a friend of mine and his wife threw another Superbowl party. So I went Superbowl hopping and Jason agreed to go with me on this grand adventure. The first party was my friend and his wife where the food was amazingly good! I didn't really want to leave. He had pulled pork and so much more that we missed because we then went to my father's party. Everyone was there: Rachel, Jordan, Madison, Paul, Royal, Trevor, Steven, Kristi, Lisa, Lori, Robert, Rachel & Chris (Kristi and Steven's friends),Andrew, Stephanie, Mom, Dad, Jason, and me! (Sorry if I missed anyone). :) My mom got a bunch of goodies and Steven grilled his famous chicken and there were drinks and goodness! :) After we ate some of us didn't want to watch the superbowl: Steven, Mom, Me, Jason, Andrew, and Stephanie learned how to play a really fun game that Steven taught us. It was a really fun game and we ended up playing  from 5-10 pm with only a short break to make Brownies! :) The Brownies were delicious thanks to Jason and I because we are brownie experts. If you ever need Brownies let me know.
Now to the sadness. The next day we said goodbye to my mom. She got on a jet plane and left us for a whole week! WHAT THE HECK?! :) She went to Oregon to visit Debbie! I was super sad I couldn't go with her. I also miss her cooking. Last night my dad had eggs and hashbrowns while I had a sandwich.  It also has been really quiet in the house. I was so occupied last night with FHE, homework, and sleep that it wasn't very loud. I am really grateful for my mom and that she is such a major part of my life that when she is gone I miss her. I miss talking to her and just having another girl in the house. There is a lot of Testosterone.
School is school. There isn't much to say about it. I have a couple night classes which is hard but I am getting through it and love all my professors. i am presenting at 2 conferences now which is amazing for a student to be able to do that. Both are statewide conferences for health professionals. One is up in Logan and the other is up in Salt Lake. I am really nervous but so excited I get this opportunity. I signed up for the CHES exam and now have to mail my transcripts to them. I can't believe that I am graduating in April. It is crazy insane! I love my ward. I have enjoyed being in Activities and planning those activities for my ward. I love my friends. They have helped me so much in life lately. They check up on me and we pretty much do something every weekend which is fun for me to stay busy. I love my institute classes and love going. It has been hard because on Thursday's I have been dealing with insurance companies. This week is a very slow one for me which will be nice instead of the craziness of last week. Thanks for Reading! Love you all! :)

Sickness, School, and Snow OH MY!

Will the snow ever stop?! I don't know how much longer of this snow I can take. Trust me I love the snow. I love building snowmen, sledding, and running around in it but why can't it stay off the roads and sidewalks?! That would make my life a whole lot easier. :) Just kidding. I am actually happy for the snow because that means there will be lots of water for surfing and tubing this summer with my family! So I can't complain really. Plus I am excited for Friday when I can actually go out and play in it.  I haven't been able to really enjoy it this time around because of my crazy school schedule.
Sickness is being passed to everyone this time of year. My dad, mom, sister, and I were all sick this week and last. Then some of my friends ended up sick. It is like a plague! :) Luckily we are all on the mend and I am so excited for this weekend for my father's annual Superbowl party. It should be pretty epic!
School is intense. Everyone told me senior year would be the easiest well you are wrong. Senior year is by far my hardest year of school. I love my professors especially Mary Brown who has helped me get so much farther in academia then I thought I could go. I am presenting not only at UCUR in a few weeks up at Utah State (so you peeps up that way we need to do something or come see me or something!:))  I am also presenting at HEAU which is a health education conference that is held in salt lake this year. It is a pretty big deal. It is all the health educators from across the state that come so this is the time for networking. I am so excited for all these opportunities. Group work still sucks! I am in this group that I am like the mother who has to tell them exactly what to do and when. It is annoying and tiring but good experience for the real world! I love working at the Health and Wellness Center. I have 2 clients this semester and have loved working with them. I tutor part time now which is nice. I have loved having some extra cash to spend so I don't have to rely on my parents as much anymore. I can't believe I am graduating in April! It is craziness! I am going to miss the mentoring friends I have made, professors who I love, and the classes that I have taken.
I have been so blessed in my life. I keep getting blessed and I feel like I don't really deserve it at times. I owe my Heavenly Father so much! He has given me great friends, family, and people in my life to steer me in the right direction. I am excited for everything my life holds. I did get an interview for an EFY counselor position for the summer but I don't think I am going to get it. Not because the interview went bad but because I have a feeling that there is something waiting for me this summer so I need to be patient and realize it is all in the Lords timing. This is going to be a crazy semester but I can't wait to move forward to the next stage of my life. Which is graduate school and working. Unless God changes those plans for something better. ;)
